Cheers friends!
Just taking a quick minute here on theodorewebb.com to thank everyone who's been involved with my life, particularly over the past year through our many events, projects, performances, books, anthologies, meetings & more!
I'm hoping 2015 will be another story-filled year of learning, building on all our established relationships & always room for making new friends!
I appreciate everyone who's taken a minute to check out my bibliography of e-books. These are great if you're giving a Kindle and / or other device for Christmas. Any of my e-books can be pre-loaded as part of the gift...(Note: Free Kindle reading app for ANY device, iPad, tablet, phone, laptop, etc. can be downloaded at this link.)
(Also don't forget! If you're already a fan / have already purchased a copy of any of my ebooks, you can loan any of them for up to 14 days to a friend or family member by clicking "Loan this book to anyone you choose" at the top of the Amazon page; then simply submit your friend's email address to loan to him / her...)
Thanks to all who in 2014 have read/shared the novel-series "The STARLING Connection" & short stories such as "Family Hour," participated in and / or attended the performance of "Zombie Texts from the Future," joined us at Morgantown Poets (7 p.m. the 3rd Thursday of each month at Monongalia Arts Center) and/or enjoy my latest chapbook, "Poems for Poets," at Passive Terrain Press.
Appreciation to those who've enjoyed a thought-provoking blog post here on theodorewebb.com, commented on my Facebook author pagehttps://www.facebook.com/theodorewebbauthor or Twitter https://www.twitter.com/theodoretedwebb, engaged in dialogue and/or otherwise just said hello / been in touch.
Suffice it to say I'm just another flawed human being, but the best parts of me still believe life is about relationships. Hopefully I can continue to learn from you all because you all have my love, gratitude & appreciation.
At this time of year, I feel it's also very important to remember our neighbors who may be feeling lonely or who may just need someone to talk to. This can be a difficult time of year for many & it's always good to reach out & be a friend to someone.
Even if it's something as simple as baking some cookies, taking a step across the street & ringing your neighbor's doorbell, such a seemingly "small" gesture can mean the world to someone. We never know what someone else is going through.
We may not be able to change the whole world overnight but we can make a significant difference in our spheres & help make lives / everyone's experience here a little better... Our human experience may be a lonely family member we choose to spend Christmas with, or our love could be shared with a neighbor; even a "stranger": Perhaps a kind word to the cashier at the supermarket, or a surprise tip to the fast food worker cleaning your table. We can choose to reach out in many ways & truly connect, human to human. (For the digitally inclined / concerned / aware, check outthis Youtube video of Prince Ea "Can We Autocorrect Humanity?" on importance of human to human real life connection...)
A few years ago I was fortunate to participate in a script-in-hand performance based on Charles Dickens' masterpiece, "A Christmas Carol," in downtown Fairmont, West Virginia, with Joey Madia of Seven Stories Theatre Company & friends. This performance is a good memory for me that always makes me feel positive this time of year... Thus, I'd like to share one of my favorite quotes in all literature, courtesy of Mr. Dickens:

“But you were always a good man of business, Jacob,' faltered Scrooge, who now began to apply this to himself.
Business!' cried the Ghost, wringing its hands again. "Mankind was my business; charity, mercy, forbearance, and benevolence, were, all, my business. The deals of my trade were but a drop of water in the comprehensive ocean of my business!”
Such an inspiring quote & powerful idea to motivate us this time of year & to guide us / keep us on track with what is most important throughout 2015 & beyond. (& don't worry, I'll get back to sharing more #free excerpts & commentary for "The STARLING Connection" following Christmas, so stay tuned...)
Much love!
Much love!
