Hi friends and readers!

Just a quick update on "The STARLING Series." Thanks to some excellent advice from a reader, I've combined "Lifeline," "Crucible," "Colossus" and "Inferno," all four books written so far in the series, into a single volume, which is titled, "The STARLING Connection." It's now available on Amazon.com (simply type "Theodore Webb The Starling Connection" into Amazon's search box or click on the link above.)

This quadrilogy (or if you prefer, tetralogy) contains the full and complete arc of the story of high school students Simon Laramie, Jaya Ceyes, Flower Wildwind and Peter Arnold and their struggle to create an independent forum for freedom of expression so that all can have a voice. Sounds simple, right? But read the first chapter, and you'll quickly see what kind of headwinds they're up against. Experience the entire dystopian world of U.S.A. 2045 in all its misguided med-packed, drone-filled "glory."

I realize some readers prefer to have as much as possible in a single convenient volume. The goal is that folks can read the series their way, in a format that works best for them. The quadrilogy clocks in at only 369 pages, so we expect it will remain manageable. Most of those folks who've already read all four books reported they soared through them all quickly, so I expect that will stay true for the combined volume.

For those short on time (I'm thinking of those folks who may be commuting on a bus or train to work, traveling on a ship or aircraft, or those parents who only have a half hour to read while their little ones are napping) then you can still get each book separately in shorter, even more easy-to-manage formats, each between 100-175 pages. I've also made "Lifeline," "Crucible," "Colossus" and "Inferno" more widely accessible than ever before and more available to everyone. Just click on the links above to find out how accessible they really are.

As always, if you've read the books, I hope you'll take a second to write a quick review on Amazon to share your thoughts and an even quicker second to click the "like" button at the top of the Amazon pages, immediately under the book's title. A review doesn't necessarily have to be long. A paragraph will do, but of course you can write more if you want. Every review on Amazon and every "like" is a tremendous help to us "indie" authors who spend years working on our books only to struggle even longer to get them noticed. But it's all worth it, because I believe strongly in "The STARLING Series" and what it has to offer.

With that in mind, I hope you'll share the series on Facebook, Twitter, etc. and personally tell your friends what you found that was interesting or meaningful in "The STARLING Series."

Due to the book's strong anti-bullying theme (particularly in "Lifeline") I also continue working to get the series into the hands of more teenagers (after all, the main characters are teenagers; it's a young adult series that I hope adults will like and be able to talk about with their teenagers as well...)

It's my deepest hope that the series will share some hope, inspiration and something meaningful with teens who are struggling in this "brave, new" digital world we've created, while also offering some insights into what teenagers are facing (or will face) in life. I hope anyone who is struggling to find answers about the underlying causes and nature of violence, pervasive inequality, what it really takes to truly love another human being and more will find this book worthwhile.

Thanks, as ever, for staying up to date with my books, stories, reviews, essays, etc. here on theodorewebb.com. I'm working hard to make "The STARLING Series" ever more accessible in 2013 and will keep you posted about what happens next. If you have any ideas or thoughts about the series or if you know a group, book club, organization, class, etc. that might like to check it out, then by all means contact me.
