Peter Arnold's version of "success":
Come on J. You’re not being fair; it’s not all like that. Hey, I’m still with Prop News, remember? I know all those people you’re talking about. They just want this school to be great. It’s not all about ‘looking good’ for college. It’s about being successful. You have to understand the difference. The best way to live is to be 110 percent focused on your goals and ignore everything else. That’s how we have to be if we’re going to make STARLING successful too.
Jaya Ceyes crosses her arms.
What’s ‘success’ Pete? Is success just what’s in it for me? Or is there more to it than that? Which goals are the goals we should make? Is there something bigger than our little goals we set for ourselves? Is there a bigger picture, a greater responsibility than just building your resume, getting more titles, status and looking good to everybody? This school has big problems, but why do the people on the top like it this way so much?
