We're moving further into 2015, with the year 2045 now just 30 years away...
As promised earlier, I'll continue sharing excerpts (in sequence-order) from the first few chapters of my novel-series, "The STARLING Connection," along with some commentary.
(Note: The first four chapters can be read for FREE on Amazon. Just search for "The STARLING Connection" in Amazon's search, then when the page comes up, click on the e-book's cover pic. You can scroll down & read a significant portion...)
In the beginning of the series, I describe a dystopian future in 2045, a result of individual citizens losing all of their power.
In the 2045 world depicted in STARLING, 15 out of every 20 citizens are locked up in so-called "Reconditioning Centers," where they work 24-7 manufacturing the "me" electronic devices everyone worships.
Far fetched?
We currently have what some call "hyper-incarceration," with approximately 1 in 100 American adults behind bars.
Does this prison-industrial complex represent "law and order"?
Or does the prison-industrial complex enable an artificial, orchestrated, skewed, debt-ridden, bail out "economy," hiding behind "the law" to falsely imprison entire segments of our population (with the result of this corruption is the inevitable civil unrest such as the protests surrounding #Ferguson #ICantBreathe, etc.)?
What is the connection of the prison-industrial complex here in the U.S. & loss of living-wage jobs, shipped off to the One Party State so-called "capitalism" ofour current favorite "Made In" country, often made with prison, virtual slave labor or working conditions so stressful many turn to suicide (see Foxconn)?
Without further adieu, here's the ongoing story... (for past excerpts, scroll down through my recent blog posts...)
Please help me get the word out about "The STARLING Connection."

Excerpt from Chapter 1: Breaking Tradition: Book One: Lifeline: The STARLING Connection: Voice of 15-year-old narrator Simon Laramie:
If someone’s doing something really, really bad that The Drones don’t like; you know, like if anyone does anything without a license, or if too many people get together without a permit or something, The Drones can send shock waves to the ground, or even all the way through your house. The shock waves are almost as fast as lightning, but not exactly as strong.
The sonic waves aren’t supposed to kill anybody, but if you get hit, then you can’t walk or move or anything. That’s so PATRIOT SECURITY can pick you up where you fall so you can be reconditioned. PATRIOT SECURITY usually sends its “cheetahs” to scoop you off the ground. Cheetahs are really fast four-legged robots that can outrun any human or animal. They can kill anything too.
I don’t actually know any Recons; I mean, the people who get reconditioned, but I do know they all go to the Reconditioning Centers that are in every town. Recons work there for free and make more stuff for people to get at Big Buy. I’ve heard most of them are fed experimental Meds that keep them awake 23 hours a day. Most of the Recons make electronic devices for “free,” then TEMPLE turns around and sells them to everybody. It’s all part of the Recons’ “treatment.”
The treatment is supposed to teach the Recons everyone’s true purpose, the main thing we’re taught in school from day one: To spend our whole lives working for someone else, someone who’s already on the top.
Will constant State surveillance of the population increase hyper-incarceration?
